A Godel Terminal alternative
Godel Terminal is a browser research terminal for equities, filings, financials and market data. globe.li is a browser terminal that puts the world's events beside crypto perps and prediction markets, and trades them on the same screen.
What each does
Facts about Godel Terminal from its own site and docs, checked 2026-10-12.
| Godel Terminal | globe.li | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Research teams: quotes, news, SEC filings, standardised financials and options chains. | Trading: perps, prediction markets and the world's events on one screen. |
| Markets | Equities in the US, Europe, the UK and Asia, indices, futures, FX, US options and crypto. Real-time in the US, international venues on a short delay. | Hyperliquid perps, HIP-3 and spot, Lighter, Aster, and prediction markets on Polymarket, Limitless and HIP-4. |
| Trading | None: its FAQ says Godel is a data and tape layer, not a broker. | A ticket that sends the take profit and stop with the entry, and strategies that run on their own. |
| News | Ticker-filtered news from primary wires, exchange notices and major outlets. | Headlines, a ranked event wire and a live news channel, beside a live 3D Earth with quakes, weather and satellites. |
| Analysis | Filings, financials, earnings estimates, analyst ratings, and options chains with greeks. | Order flow, and trading rules backtested out of sample and judged against luck. |
| Workspace | Windows driven by typed commands and keyboard shortcuts, in the browser. | Windows that move and resize, saved as tabs, in the browser. Phones get a layout of their own. |
Where Godel Terminal goes further
For company research it is the deeper tool: SEC filings rendered in the workspace, standardised financials, earnings estimates, analyst ratings, and US options chains with greeks. globe.li has none of these.
What globe.li adds
The Situation layout puts the live Earth, the ranked event wire, a live news channel and the headlines next to a chart, the tape, a ticket, your positions and the prediction markets. Pick an event and the globe and the markets follow it. More in the world events guide.
Rules are tested before they trade. This one buys BTC when the hourly RSI drops under 30, takes half at +3% and the rest at +6%, and stops out 2% below the entry:
long BTC when rsi 14 < 30 on 1h, take 50% at +3%, rest at +6%, stop 2%, size $1000
Open in the editor, where it backtests as you type.
The editor backtests it on the venue's own candles as you type, and the technical analysis panel judges a rule against luck. Then it runs on paper, or live on Hyperliquid. More in the Hyperliquid trading bot guide.
